Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account details: your name and email address.
• Profile details you choose to add: bio, country, occupation, and social links.
• Design content: room scans/photos, floor plan dimensions, generated layouts, and design preferences you upload or generate.
• If you use a Business account: your organization's name, and contact details (name, email, phone, address) you enter for your own clients.

We do not ask for or require a date of birth, government ID, or payment card details — the product does not currently collect them.

2. Why We Collect It

• Name and email: to create and secure your account, and to contact you about it.
• Room scans, dimensions, and preferences: to generate your AI layouts, furniture suggestions, and custom-furniture specs.
• Client contact details (Business accounts): so you can manage your own clients' projects inside AIVA — this data belongs to you and your client relationship, not to us.

3. How Your Data Is Used

Your room dimensions, photos, and design inputs are sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini for layout, furniture-detection, and room-reconstruction; Meshy for photo-to-3D custom furniture generation) solely to produce the output you requested. We do not use your private design data to train public models without your explicit, opt-in consent.

4. How Data Is Stored

Account and application data is stored in our database. Uploaded photos and generated 3D models are stored in Amazon S3. Session cookies are managed by our authentication provider (Better Auth) — see our Cookie Policy.

5. Data Retention

[Placeholder — specific retention periods are not yet finalized.] As a general rule, we keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete Account) permanently removes your account record and the application data tied to it. Files stored in cloud storage linked to deleted content may take some additional time to be fully purged.

6. Third-Party Services We Use

We share data with the following service providers, strictly to operate the platform — never to sell or rent your data:

• Google — optional “Sign in with Google”, and the Gemini API for AI layout/image generation.
• Meshy — AI-generated 3D models from photos of custom furniture you submit.
• Resend — delivery of account emails (sign-in codes, invitations, notifications).
• Amazon Web Services (S3) — storage of uploaded photos and generated 3D models.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind. The only cookies set are strictly necessary ones for signing you in and keeping your session secure. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

8. Analytics

We do not currently use any analytics or product-tracking services. If that changes, this policy and our Cookie Policy will be updated first.

9. Authentication Data

Sign-in is via one-time email codes or Google OAuth — we do not store a password for most accounts. If you enable two-factor authentication, your backup codes are stored encrypted. Session cookies and sign-in tokens are managed by Better Auth.

10. Email & Communication Data

We currently send only transactional emails required to operate your account (sign-in codes, security notices, organization invitations, and partner/quote notifications). We do not send marketing or newsletter emails at this time; if that changes, this policy will be updated and an unsubscribe mechanism will be provided.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly:

• Access/Correction: view and edit your profile from Settings.
• Deletion: delete your account from Settings → Delete Account.
• Anything else: contact us at support@aivainteriordesign.com.

12. Deleting Your Data

Deleting your account removes your user record, sessions, projects, clients, custom-furniture specs, and related application data. If you own a Business organization with other members, you'll be asked to transfer or remove those members first, since deleting your account would otherwise leave the organization without an owner.

13. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed in Section 6, or when required by law.

14. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and at rest — to protect your data. No system is completely immune to risk, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Children's Privacy

AIVA is intended for general/professional use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we do not currently verify user age.
