Plan your room in 2D. See it in 3D.
AIVA's editor is a precise 2D floor plan and a 3D view of that exact layout, kept in sync as you work. Draw walls, place furniture, and check how the room actually looks before you commit to anything.
Walls, doors & windows
Draw and move walls, and place doors and windows along any wall edge — the layout updates live as you drag.
Furniture placement & snapping
A dedicated spatial engine keeps furniture aligned to walls and to each other, so pieces don't float or overlap by accident.
Real-time lighting
Set the sun's position, color temperature, and shadow quality to see how natural light actually falls across the room — not a pre-baked render.
Measurements
Enter exact dimensions yourself, or start from an AI-estimated scan and refine it — the plan is always precisely what you've set it to.
Where AI fits in
You don't need AI to use this editor — draw a room yourself and it works like any room planner. If you'd rather start from a scan, AIVA's AI can propose a first layout for you to take over from here. See how the AI-generated starting point works.
Who uses it
- Planning a room layout before buying furniture
- Testing whether a piece of furniture will actually fit
- Checking how daylight moves through a room at different times
- Interior designers building a layout from scratch, not from a scan
Questions people ask
Do I need to scan a room, or can I draw from scratch?
Both work. Scan a room with your phone for a starting floor plan, or draw walls, doors, and windows yourself — the editor is the same either way.
What can I export?
A PNG image of your 2D floor plan today. There's no PDF, DWG, or 3D file export yet.
Does it work without 3D graphics support?
Yes — the 3D view is a separate layer that loads only when you switch to it. If your browser or device can't run it, the 2D plan stays fully usable. See the full breakdown on our 3D room design page.
